Student Transition Paid Internship Opportunities
Purpose Of Program
~To give transitioning students on the job experience in the workforce.
~To provide guaranteed employment after graduation.
~To provide financial gain during experience.
~To provide outcome based performance evaluation of level of work accomplished to the intern and their
school representative.
Eligibility
~Intern must be within two years of graduation.
~Intern must have transition funds available.
~AES will bill the intern's transition funds $1,800 per intern session.
~Intern must apply (or have application on file) for an IO or Level 1 waiver prior to start of internship.
Offerings
~Every intern will be paid minimum wage for hours worked with AES.
~4.5 hours are paid in a typical work day
~Typical work hours are 10a-3p
~10 paid internships will be offered daily.
~3 in documents services
~3 in residential cleaning
~1 in painting
~1 in carpet cleaning
~1 in vending
~1 "at large"
~Each internship spans four consecutive weeks during the summer.
~Offered June-August
~Start dates and number of days scheduled are individualized per intern.
~Interns can choose to attend one or more four week sessions.
~Transportation to/from work site is included.
Completion of Internship
~Criteria for the successful completion of a four week internship requires:
~Score a 2.5 or higher on the internship rating sheet
~Maintain an average attendance rate of 90% or higher

~Interns that successfully complete the internship will be offered GUARANTEED employment within
ADD Employment Services upon graduation and approval for an IO or Level 1 waiver.
